Isaiah's Commission

In the year King Uzziah dies, Isaiah sees the Lord high and exalted in the Temple. He is cleansed and commissioned as a prophet to Judah.

538 BC

Return from Exile

Cyrus the Great of Persia decrees that the Jewish exiles may return to Jerusalem and rebuild the Temple, fulfilling Isaiah's prophecy.

34 AD

Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch

The evangelist Philip encounters an Ethiopian official reading Isaiah on the road to Gaza. Philip explains the Gospel, and the eunuch is baptized.
